Your Dream Body Awaits

We all have excess fat that is extremely stubborn and seemingly impossible to get rid of. Diet and exercise can only do so much to improve these areas of the body that are naturally disposed to storing fat, but contouring procedures have changed everything! Liposuction has been available for many years, and though the technology has not changed much, the treatment is still the most effective method for removing large amounts of stored fat from the body.

Maybe you are struggling to lose that last bit of pregnancy weight, or you have always held extra fat in your hips or belly. Whatever the case may be, liposuction can help you get rid of these unwanted pockets, for good!

How Does it Work?

Liposuction is a procedure that permanently removes stored fat from a targeted area. When ageing begins to affect the body, pregnancy adds extra unwanted fat and we are genetically predisposed to carrying weight in a particular area, it may be very hard to lose the weight by diet and exercise alone. Through liposuction, you can choose the area to be treated, and through a minimally invasive procedure, we can help you remove the fat from your body.

The procedure is fairly simple, but varies according to the area and type of liposuction you choose. During your consultation, you and your surgeon will discuss your goals for the procedure, the amount of fat you wish to remove and from there you will construct a plan and choose the specifics of your procedure.

Tumescent Liposuction: This technique of liposuction uses an injectable solution to prepare your body before the fat is removed. The saline solution contains epinephrine, which contracts your blood vessels and reduces blood loss during the procedure. Following the injection, your surgeon will make a small incision from which to suction out the excess fat. The site of the incision will be easily hidden, and this small invasion will only produce a hairline scar, which will fade over time. Once the fat is removed, the incision will be closed, and your body will assume its new shape.

Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction: This technique uses ultrasonic energy to liquefy fat within the body before it is removed. Ultrasound technology is safe and efficient, and in this case makes the procedure much less invasive and complicated. A small incision will still be made from which to remove the fat, but because it is already broken down, the surgery takes much less time and leaves more minimal scarring.

Because liposuction is technically a surgical procedure, there is some downtime associated with the treatment. It is an outpatient procedure, so you will be able to return home within the same day; however, it is important to treat your body with care and patience as you fully recover. You may resume work within a few days and maintain your regular lifestyle as your scar continues to heal, but we do recommend that you avoid strenuous activity over the two weeks following your procedure. You will experience bruising, swelling and mild soreness as your body heals, as well. The amount of soreness you experience is based on the health of your body, the amount of fat removed and the area targeted.

Results Can Be Forever

Because liposuction removes unwanted fat completely from an area of the body, it is unlikely that fat will reproduce again in this specific area. However, weight gain following liposuction is possible in other areas of the body, so modifying your diet and introducing exercise into your daily life is essential in maintaining the body shape you create with liposuction. We want you to be forever pleased and confident with your new and improved figure; if you have any questions about nutrition leading up to and following your procedure, feel free to ask your surgeon during consultation! We will be able to guide you to maintaining the body you have always wanted.

Benefits of Liposuction

Liposuction is an easy procedure for removing significant amounts of stored fat from your body and is our go-to procedure for accomplishing your significant body contouring transformation.

What are our favourite things about liposuction?

Minimal Downtime:Though liposuction is technically a surgical procedure, it does not require the same amount of recovery as, say, a tummy tuck. Fat is removed through a small incision and full recovery can be as quick as just a couple of weeks.
No Limits: Whereas other body contouring procedures offer gradual results, liposuction offers immediate satisfaction and can remove a significant amount of fat in just one treatment!
